Come stay at The Alaskan House, a spacious and versatile property perfect for families, groups, or multiple couples traveling together. This home features two separate units for maximum comfort and privacy. The upper floor includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, while the lower unit offers 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom—plenty of space to relax and enjoy your Alaskan adventure.

Along with the home and all of its amenities, guests will also have access to a private dock, a sport fishing boat (between 25’–30’), and a Dodge Caravan for local transportation.

There’s no need to travel far—world-class King Salmon fishing can be found right off the private dock. The best Silver Salmon fishing in Alaska is only minutes away, and guests can often see Pink Salmon jumping in the surrounding waters. All fishing takes place in the calm waters surrounding Ketchikan.

A sport fishing boat (between 25’–30’) is available for guests to use on self-guided trips, included in the daily package rate. Fishing poles are provided. Please note: the owners conduct a check-out and orientation process to ensure guests are familiar with the boat’s features, fishing gear, and local fishing boundaries.

During the summer, whale watching is extraordinary in the area. Guests frequently witness Humpback Whales bubble feeding and pods of Killer Whales passing by. Eagles, otters, seals, and sea lions are also regular visitors to the area—many can be spotted right from the dock.

The Alaskan House is located on the scenic Tongass Narrows, just a few miles’ drive from the Ketchikan International Airport, State Ferry Terminal, Post Office, and a local grocery store. Heading north, it’s only about a minute’s drive to Walmart and a local liquor store, making it easy to stock up on essentials during your stay.

Whether you’re into flightseeing, Alaska Native art, museums, hiking, or amazing fishing, there’s something in Ketchikan for the entire family!
